This seems a little bit strange to me, having a blog. Most people seem to blog as a way to connect with other people, and maybe that will happen with me. Or maybe it will be a collection of simple, random thoughts that will serve as a means of defining who I am, even if it's only for myself.
A Quiet Mind came to me quickly, and has two meanings for me. The first is one of general contentment. God is the One around whom my world is centered, and my reason for existence is to glorify Him via the way that I live my life. He is my Rock and my Salvation, my Sovereign Lord, and because He can be fully depended upon for everything, I am at peace.
Secondly, A Quiet Mind is what I need to have in order to "Be still and know that I am." When I stop and incline my heart and mind, I am open to His spirit's guidance, and I can participate in the communication that He is directing toward me.
